Medicaid Planning
Serving the needs of our clients living in Carmel, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne & Kokomo in matters of Elder Law.
Enacted in l965 as an amendment to the Social Security Act of 1935, Medicaid is a medical assistance program for low income families and individuals, and is financed jointly by the state and federal governments. Each state administers its own program with oversight by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Those eligible for Medicaid are parents, children, seniors, and people with disabilities who have limited income and assets.
Eligibility requirements differ from state to state, and many changes have been made over the years. Most recently, the Deficit Reduction Act significantly changed the rules concerning asset transfers. It is advisable to consult an expert about your rights under this complex Act. We help people, on a daily basis, understand the Medicaid rules and how they can be interpreted to best serve our clients.
Our Indiana Medicaid planning staff is ready to assist you. Please contact us today with your questions and concerns. YOU ARE AT A SERIOUS DISADVANTAGE IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE LAW IN THIS AREA.
